04 Mar LSC and CUNA Strategic Services Launch ‘CU Mobile Apps’
MADISON, Wis. (March 4, 2015)—LSC® and CUNA Strategic Services (CSS) signed an agreement to add CU Mobile Apps to the existing prepaid card portfolio of solutions. CU Mobile Apps is a mobile application designed specifically for credit unions and fully functional with all major mobile smart phones and tablets.
“Providing credit union access to members via their mobile devices is no longer regarded as a competitive edge—it’s essential,” says LSC’s Patricia Smith, SVP, sales, brand, and marketing. “It’s becoming increasingly more important both for member retention and attracting new members.”
“CU Mobile Apps is fully compatible with Apple, Droid, and Kindle Fire, among other platforms,” says Smith. Members can view and request information, while the credit union can push messages to the member, on their mobile devices.
The app offers a customizable, turnkey setup; provides a credit union/ATM locator with integrated GPS navigational tools; incorporates a credit union’s current online banking or mobile banking site; and requires no additional software or hardware. It also imbeds a unique patent-pending security technology, with anti-malware and anti-spyware functionality.
